Twitter was originally done through a Vending Machine

NotificatorNews just in! It seems that the concept behind Twitter was originally created by an early vending machine. Inserting a coin into the slot allowed users to add a handwritten message into a glass display panel, like a message board, allowing users to relay information, make or break appointments or announce to their friends what pubs they were going to meet at - assuming the intended recipients spotted the message. "If you put healthier options in front of them, people might make better choices." Although the partners are targeting businesses as well, the rise in childhood obesity is prompting a focus on schools, where they believe the machines can help make a difference.
