Biometric Vending Machines

Biometric-vending-machineThis is not a movie set in the future. This is now. Vending machines have been fitted with biometric ID reader that scans your fingertips. Hitachi's new authentication systems identify individuals based on the unique blood flow patterns in their fingers. With the introduction of the system, office workers can buy drinks and other goods from vending machines or at stores in the company building, simply by placing their fingers over a scanner!

This trail is taking place in Japan, however Manchester Vending Services are keen to bring these vending machines to the UK as soon as possible. Contact us for information how our innovative technology can improve your vending.

Snacking with a Social Conscience

Cocoa-farmer-in-Ghana-001According to a story in today's issue of The Guardian...

Cadbury's is quietly undergoing one of the biggest changes in its nearly 200-year history of chocolate-making, as the first Fairtrade bars rolled off its production line. Britain's biggest-selling chocolate bar becoming a Fairtrade product is the equivalent of finding the golden ticket for a movement that has been at the fringes of the retail sector for the last 15 years.

We at Manvend.com welcome the news that Cadbury's has joined the free trade movement - a movement we have championed for over a decade. Find out more about our fair trade vending campaign.

New Coke Machine Promises 100 Flavours!

Coca-cola-freestyleCoca-Cola has just put out a new custom soda kiosk in America that allows a customer to choose from 100 potential flavors. The Coca-Cola Freestyle allows the customer to select a base flavor like “Sprite” and have it infused with other flavors (grape, strawberry, etc), nutrients, or other additives.

This exciting example of a mass customisation vending machine looks really swish, and we at Manvend.com can't wait to try it out in the UK.

Coffee Cuts Out Alzheimer's

Cup-of-coffee-001Coffee drinkers will be clinking mugs in a toast to new research suggesting that just two strong cups of the black stuff a day can reverse the effects of Alzheimer's disease. These findings confirms what a lot of other research has shown: that coffee could become part of a lifestyle prevention plan for the disease, according to a story in the news today

Manchester Vending's bean-to-cup machines deliver high-quality espressos, lates and cappuccinos. We are such big fans of the black stuff that we recently launched a new premier class of service called Broderick's Love Coffee, which celebrates our passion for the coffee house culture.
