FAIR TRADE PRODUCTS are all the rage these days. As consumers and industry leaders become increasingly aware of how the food and drink they consume is made, Fairtrade is no passing fad. Manufacturers and suppliers of commodities such as coffee, tea and chocolate are increasingly under pressure to supply Fairtrade products. Manchester Vending Services however are proud to be pioneers – supplying Fairtrade coffee, tea and sugar in vending for over twenty years, with the Overseas Development Minister at the time, Claire Short applauding their lead in supporting Fairtrade vending. Managing Director, John Broderick explains: “The Managing Director, John Broderick explains: “The ability to make ethical choices as a consumer has long been one of our core beliefs,” he said. “But when we started out talking about getting a fair deal, not many people were interested… Now more people are listening.”
