Now that the autumn has well and truly settled in, it might be nice to cast our minds back to those heady days of summer, when the sun shone brightly and the weather was sweet. Yup, here's an video of our annual Golf Day, held in June. It features great shots from the greens and some funny footage from the evening party.
Here's a gizmo we wish we'd installed at our recent Golf Day Classic...
We started Summer 2009 with smiles all round at our annual Golf Day Gala. During the day, the sun shone and the greens were great. And after all the golf buggies were parked and the clubs put away, we decorated the opulent clubhouse in a big-top circus theme with stilt-walkers, jugglers, show girls, performers and singers.
The highlight of the evening came when we launched the Broderick Trust, pledging £20,000 to the fund. We wanted to appoint the people we most admire in business as trustees of the trust, so we nominated Manchester Airport's Andrew Cornish and Nestle's Wayne Wanklyn. We also gave recognition to our Special Friends in Vending, namely Richard Brinsley from Westomatic and Gary Unsworth from Aimia Foods.
Just in case you missed the live show, here's a clip of the state-of-the-art juggling double-act, Feeding The Fish, who performed at the Manchester Vending Annual Golf Day at Mere Golf Club last week. Bright sunshine made for a great day on the greens. Fabulous guests ensured that the evening festivities were good fun for all. We'll be adding a link to photographs from the day soon, so stay tuned!
Here's a photo we pulled out of the vault. It's Manchester Vending Services founder John Broderick Senior getting matey with golfing legend Nick Faldo. If you hadn't already guessed from the abundance of Lacoste "sports sweater" knitwear on show here, the photo was taken in the 1980s. All this talk of golf reminds us: have you booked your place at the 2009 Manchester Vending Services Golf Day? OK, ok, I know it's still mid-winter, but it's never too early to register to attend the party, which has become an annual fixture on the social calendar.
